Information about how to keep Sleepiest+ access when moving from one platform to another.
Moving from iPhone to Android, or want to use Sleepiest in your browser? Your subscription can come with you. Here's how it works and what to do before you switch.
The short version
Create a Sleepiest account on the device that has your subscription (if you haven't already).
Stay logged in on that device.
Log in to the same Sleepiest account on your new device. Your subscription will be shared to it automatically.
Why you need a Sleepiest account
Subscriptions are sold through three different stores, and each one only knows about its own customers:
iOS – billed through Apple's App Store, tied to your Apple ID.
Android – billed through Google Play, tied to your Google account.
Web – billed directly through Sleepiest via Stripe.
Apple, Google and our web checkout don't talk to each other, so none of them can tell a new device that you've already paid. Your Sleepiest account is the link between them: it's how we recognise that the person logging in on Android is the same person who subscribed on iPhone.
Without an account, your subscription only exists on the store it was bought from and can't be shared.
Keep the original device logged in
Your subscription lives on the platform where you bought it. Sleepiest checks that platform to confirm the subscription is still active and then shares it with any other device logged in to the same account.
That means the device with the subscription needs to stay logged in to your Sleepiest account. If you log out there, or delete the app, other devices may lose access until you log back in on the original platform.
Before you switch: a note for Sign in with Apple users
If you signed up using Sign in with Apple, there are two things worth doing before you move to Android or Web:
1. Update your email to a real address. If you chose "Hide My Email" when signing up, your Sleepiest account is registered under an Apple private relay address (something like abc123@privaterelay.appleid.com). This works fine on iPhone, but it's awkward elsewhere: you won't remember it, you can't easily sign in with it, and password reset emails may not reach you. In the Sleepiest app on your original device, go to your account settings and change your email to one you actually use.
2. Set (or update) your password. Sign in with Apple isn't available on every platform. Setting a password you know means you can log in with your email and password on Android or Web without depending on Apple.
Do this while you're still on your iPhone and logged in - it's much easier than trying to recover the account after you've switched.
Common questions
I subscribed on iOS. Do I need to subscribe again on Android? No. As long as you're logged in to the same Sleepiest account on both devices, and the iPhone stays logged in, your subscription is shared.
Can I manage or cancel my subscription from the new device? No. Billing is handled by the store you bought from, so you'll need to manage it there (App Store on iOS, Google Play on Android, or your Sleepiest account on Web).
I've already switched and can't access my subscription. Check that the original device is still logged in to your Sleepiest account, and that you're using the same account on the new device.
Still stuck? Get in touch with support and include the email on your Sleepiest account and the platform you originally subscribed on.
