What are gems in the Sleepiest app?

Thank you for being part of the Sleepiest community. If you’ve noticed gems in the Sleepiest app and aren’t sure what they’re for, this article explains how they work and how you can use them.

💎 What Are Gems?

Gems are part of Sleepiest’s gamification feature.

They are currently used mainly by free users, allowing you to collect gems and exchange them for temporary access to premium content.

🌙 How Can I Use Gems?

Gems can currently be used to:

1. Unlock premium content for 24 hours

2. Purchase and equip streak freezes

If you’re a free user, gems give you a way to enjoy selected premium content without starting a subscription.

🔓 How Do I Spend Gems on Premium Content?

If you’re using Sleepiest for free, you can spend gems to unlock premium content.

To spend gems on premium content:

1. Open the Sleepiest app

2. Select a piece of premium content you’d like to listen to

3. A pop-up will appear with the option to spend gems

4. Choose to spend 250 gems

5. The premium content will be unlocked for 24 hours

Once unlocked, you’ll be able to enjoy that piece of premium content for 24 hours.

🔥 How Do Gems Help With Streaks?

If you like keeping up your Sleepiest streak, gems can be used to purchase streak freezes.

A streak tracks how many days in a row you’ve engaged with the Sleepiest app. If you miss a day, an equipped streak freeze can help protect your streak so it doesn’t reset.

🧊 How Do I Purchase and Equip a Streak Freeze?

A streak freeze refill costs 500 gems, which is 2 freezes.

To purchase and equip a streak freeze:

1. Open the Sleepiest app

2. Tap the flame icon in the top-left corner of the home screen

3. This will take you to your streak tracker

4. Scroll down and select Streak Freeze

5. Tap Equip

You can only equip 2 streak freezes at a time.

✨ Will Gems Have More Uses in the Future?

Yes. We’re working on adding more benefits for gems in future app updates.

As Sleepiest continues to grow, we’ll keep exploring new ways to make gems more useful and rewarding for our community.

⚙️ Can I Turn Gems and Streaks Off?

Yes. If you don’t want to use gems or other gamification features such as streaks, you can turn this off in the app.

To turn off gamification:

1. Open the Sleepiest app

2. Tap the three dots “...” on the bottom menu

3. Tap Settings

4. Tap Profile Settings

5. Turn off Gamification
